The Prosecution Project is digitising Australia’s criminal justice records – to help researchers as well as family and community historians better access the past.
Working with Griffith University Eresearch staff, researchers at the ARC Laureate Fellowship project have designed a website that will be used by researchers and crowd volunteers to transcribe manual records into a database that will be an enduring record of the history of policing and prosecution of criminal offences in Australia since as early as 1830.
Join us to help launch the website and learn about its potential to transform our knowledge of crime and the criminal trial in Australian life.
