About

The Prosecution Project is a collaborative research project collecting and analysing historical resources on the history of the criminal trial in Australia.

The project was established between 2013-18 with the support of the Australian Research Council (ARC Laureate Fellowship Grant FL130100050) and Griffith University. The project continues, with the support of Griffith University, where the database and other resources are hosted by the Griffith Centre for Social and Cultural Research. This means that we are still adding data, and expanding the range of sources as they become available.

On this website you can find out more about the research project, the research team, the data, the search pages, the research sources, publications associated with the project, the Australian Criminal Justice History Dataverse, and where to contact us.
